Creative buy Sensaura

edited December 2003 in Science & Tech
Sciper Sub Sensaura has now been reportedly sold to Creative for a cool $6.4 million.

[blockquote]The firm makes 3D sound technology, and the sale includes not only the business and assets, but all the intellectual property and the existing deals that Scipher Sensaura has.

There's no threat of redundancies it appears, but Scipher Sensaura's portfolio includes IP for 3D sound technology.

In 1979, a Scipher employee won the Nobel Prize for inventing the medical CT scanner, while it has 70 years experience in advanced R&D, including stereo and TV broadcasting.

Probably end up being integrated into the next EAX set, similar to how NVidia utilized some of 3DFX's Napalm technology for the GeForce FX series.

I posted the original news, after I read your thread NS (wasn't exactly copy and paste though). Sorry I should have credited you, however I did purposely link to the thread you created to make sure a thread such as this didn't take over.

Kudos to Nightshade', now lets move along to his thread.
