McBain had that problem at one point in time. We just hit the box and it worked. Or left it off for a time, and then it would work again. I don't think we ever had a direct fix for it. Is it chipped?

Check your traces where it's been chipped. Make sure a trace didn't get scraped or two traces shorted. Also, could be your power supply.

Its your chip....its shorting out somewhere....when I'd bonk it....it would re-align and solve my problem. I just went in a realigned my chip and I was good to go. No problems since. I'm assuming you used a solder-less version?

Mine does this all the time. I have to beat the crap out of it every time I turn it on.
