Guild Wars Problem? 2nd Disc not being read.
Hey guys, I think I have given up all hope but maybe you guys can help.
I have tried installing the discs because its faster and you get all the data there, and I have them. But everytime I get to the 2nd install disc of any guild wars game (have all expansions) it locks up and freezes on the installation menu. Then I have to restart my computer.
The CD's are all in mint condition, and this didn't happen on my last computer which had the same specs but different ROM drive.
I know you can just download the game client but... takes way longer on a wireless router.
Any ideas?

I would suggest giving it more time. So when the install prompts for the 2nd disc give it a minute or two before putting it in. Then before clicking ok after you put the disc in give it another minute or two.
Alternatively, you could (if you are really desperate) copy the discs to ISO files, mount the iso's with daemon tools and install them that way. But I would imagine that's about as much work as just installing it through the client would be.
It is prolly ur drive. Do you have a Plextor? I just bought a new 1 cuz my DVD-RW crapped out on me. And I've had my new drive for a few days and it crapped out on me too.
If you decide to buy a new drive, I don't suggest buying a Plextor.
Maybe not limewire, but can't you just download all of the content for GuildWars... It's just on the website, right?
Either drive or CD.
If other CD's work fine then its not drive.
Just download the content via Arena.net

Guess I'll just download the content then.
Still odd
