q suggested taking nomads if we can get him to switch his capitol. are you still heading that way keebler?
edit: im looking at that because unless that village can be taken, im just going to kill the senator for settlers instead.
I was suggesting that I do otherwise, thereby leaving Nomad's village to Q.

I don't know what your edit means, but Q will likely be taking the village.

Hmmmm.... Not offically but if you clicked raid instead of reinforce, he's die. That IS a costly death though.

well i have no use for him

MAYBE you could take Nomads village.

    _____
he is looking at taking fal dara's 500 pop village.
do you think we could get nomad to switch now that i raped his resi/palace?

    What are you talking about?

    A) Yes, I'm still getting Nomad to switch capitals
    B) Why would I want one of Fal Dara's villages and not the other?

okay ill try to be as clear as i can

he told me you were going for fal dara's 9 cropper
he told me he was looking at taking the Black Tower
he told me to ask on the forums if you wanted nomads village, if not, i might be able to take it.

I assume you are referring to Q? All I heard from Q is that he'd like to take Nomad's village if I'm not. At this juncture, I think I'd prefer to take Fal Dara's villages. If Q wants one of them rather than Nomad's, this is the first I've heard of it.

Well... I'm here to clear things up. I am open for Nomad's village since Sidekick doesn't want his senator.

I was speculating about Fal Dara. The massive Black Tower is a great target but I had not talked it over with Keebler. If he want it, cool. If not, I or someone with experience can take it.

There's my thoughts and there are my words. In here, these are my words. IM are my quick thoughts.

Sidekick, I'm not sure you're ready for another village. You have no troops and resources to build AND make troops.

i do want the senator, but without a village to take he is worthless

and yes, your right. although i do have about 1k praes and some offensive stuff still left. i can give you numbers if you really want. Nomad's would put me north like you wanted.. i think.

I'm not so sure I want you that close to me. Sorry, but I'm being honest. I'll conquer the village myself if I have to.

Also, forgive me. My advice given in this thread was under the assumption of a new village being built, not conquered. My advice would have been a big fat "No". But I have paid for this mistake through troops....

    Let's stop this.

For my part, I left that "dicey" decision up to you. It went poorly; ok, fine.

The alliance is going defensive. From now on, no more "dicey". We need defensive troops and lots of them and in strategic positions. The only offense we are doing is against choice targets that won't cause us to needlessly expend defensive troops.

Now, I don't fault you for attacking. However, I do think leaving those troops to be killed was a poor tactical decision against a single-wave attack. You should have known better.

At this point, I am making a call that we can't afford more tactical errors, so no more dicey targets, a'ight? Playing the game like you have nothing to lose is not OK when you're part of an alliance that does have quite a bit to lose.

If you find a suitable target for your Senator, it may yet be useful. Just as I found Fal Dara, some searching may turn up a suitable target.

As Imperians are concerned, I would not be quick to off them all, and especially not until your wheat production demands it. Even then, you may be able to stash defensive troops nearby to keep more than your max production. I'm sure you can still find people to farm.

In any case, don't attack other villages to "off" troops, just attack unoccupied oases with your hero so you don't cost defensive troops and can get experience points while you're at it.

most of the farms around me are lambo-owned. i wish i had a suitable target for my senator. anyone know of any?

And I'll also add that, if those defensive troops had been solely yours, I would have been neutral-to-mildly-pleased with the outcome, because it did decimate the incoming forces nicely. Assuming no further repercussions, I think the trade off would have been alright had that been the case.

yes, inactivity is not always permanent, i've found a few farms around me go active again, and i decided to help them (since they DID supply me with a lot of resources for a while...)
