What I did wrong...

Hello, I've just dusted down my Excel skills and I reckon I've figured something out that I'm going to use in my next Village, so thought I'd share it with you.

Basically, there's a balance to be struck between spending your resources on troops and spending them upgrading the same troops. For me, my next Village will be churning out Praetorians and I worked it out as follows:

<table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 170pt;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="226"><col style="width: 170pt;" width="226"> <tbody><tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt; width: 170pt;" height="20" width="226">Up to 259, Armory Lvl 0</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 451, Armory Lvl 1</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 623, Armory Lvl 2</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 785, Armory Lvl 3</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 938, Armory Lvl 4</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1086, Armory Lvl 5</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1228, Armory Lvl 6</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1367, Armory Lvl 7</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1503, Armory Lvl 8</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1635, Armory Lvl 9</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1764, Armory Lvl 10</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 1891, Armory Lvl 11</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2015, Armory Lvl 12</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2138, Armory Lvl 13</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2260, Armory Lvl 14</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2379, Armory Lvl 15</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2499, Armory Lvl 16</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2615, Armory Lvl 17</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2731, Armory Lvl 18</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2845, Armory Lvl 19</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td style="height: 15pt;" height="20">Up to 2958, Armory Lvl 20</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
I worked it out that clay was the limiting factor, so based it on that (ie not exact!) and it doesn't take into account the benefit from reduced wheat consumption by having fewer, better trained troops, but as a guide I reckon it's pretty good!

Basically it means that although I've got 1200 Lvl 13 Praets at the moment, I'd have been better defended if I'd spent more on the troops and less on the upgrades.

Anyway, my Excel skills (and my brain in general) are pretty rusty so this might be wrong ALL wrong, but I thought I'd share!
