I'm thinking of attending, but I have questions:

What does a tour of Chicago consist of? Hanging out at tt's house and drinking beers? Visiting all of the neat and cultural places in Chicago? Something inbetween? Will it be expensive? Will it require that I have a car?

Also: What hotels or other sleeping accommodations exist near tt's house?

ok I just <s>kicked</s> Thrax into going. As it would be completly ignorant for him not to ride with prime and keebs. He wimpered a little, but I'm sure a couple tylenol will fix that.

DONT KENKEL ON ME NOW THRAX!

Well... the Pool Party is from 3:00 until.... 9:00 or 10. It's a BYOBoose party but there will be kids there. We have a 15'x30' pool, big ass grill, 2 sets of corn-hole boards (bean bags for the noob), sandbox for Thrax, open area for frisbee or trackball. There will be music, food, some cake... I'll be cleaning and setting up all Saturday morning but anytime after 1:00 would probably be fine.

I will be driving up on Friday evening. Departing Cincinnati after work, probably around 6PM EST. CB and Betsy will be with me.

I am bringing my single air mattress and a sleeping bag. As long as there's room to throw down, I'll be fine.

Request some kind of sleeping spot, but I'll have a sleeping bag with me all the same.

I'll be leaving after work and I drop the dog off; given 2.5 hours, I might arrive as late as 8 or 9; might decide to jet early, in which case I might get in early. Gonna have to get back to pick the dog up sometime around like 4, so will be leaving noon-2 or so.

    Hey peeps,

I have 2 fold-out couches, 1 bed and 1 couch. Not a lot of carpet (tile).

So bring an air mattress if you have one (worst care, we don't use it)

Also, bring a sleeping bag, I don't have a lot of blankets and sleeping bags works better for doublin' up on the fold-outs :P Especially when Keebs and I zip them together WHAT.

Will be posting in a bit for activity selection.

We are providing brats, burgers, hot dogs, diet pepsi, pepsi, sprite, bottled water, and juice boxes. We (my wife) asks that you guys chip in with a side dish or two (potato salad, chips, veggie tray). Everyone else coming to my party will be bringing a dish so food will NOT be a problem. :D

    Bring a suit AND towel.

    Hey all,

OK I tried to grab what I thought might be some of the most popular things to do under $15 on August 2. There are a lot of choices on here, but there are hundreds of things that aren't on here.

Fill out this survey, and I'll combine the results and send out another one to narrow it down. Want to go to the museums? Boat ride? Gaytown? Fine, add it to the end of the survey, I've given you a few places to write in your own stuff.

Answers are confidential, please do this ASAP so I can get going on survey #2.

I'll give everyone until the end of the weekend, then I'll take the top 10 favorites or so, combine them with the usual museum/beach/etc stuff and send out the final questionnaire.
