HELP\ADVICE - DATA backup with HIGH compression

hello,
iam looking for data (music - videos) backup software with HIGH compression ratio!
ive tryed Acronis true image, genie back up manager 8, KGB archiver -all they can give is 1~3% less than the original... i didnt try Norton's ghost 14 yet - but iam sure that its useless...
is there some PAR based compression - like used in RAID 5 array or something???
please help - as i just don't want to waste half the storage for back ups!

thnx

The issue is that you are trying to compress already compressed files. There is very little extra compression that can be done at the file level. You can however get more compression if you are backing up on the disk/partition level.
