IE and removing 3D graphics of combo boxes/other form elements

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to build a form in HTML and need to remove the 3D graphic elements that IE renders by default. I'm not sure how clear I'm being, but I basically only want to be left with the down arrow of the box, if that makes any more sense.
Using "border: 0px" I can easily do this to work for FF, but IE seems to want to render padding inside the combo box and a border too.
Is there some way I can get around this problem? Thanks.

I'd like Untitled-2.jpg to look like Untitled-3.jpg.
P.S. Sorry about the file names. I didn't really think about that.
