Good job, Gnome. That's a very nice thing you're doing by Folding for her. I think it's safe to say that the whole team is rooting for you! :respect:

I had to back off the OC on my Barton 2600 from 2420 to 2300 because I was corruping cores like crazy and not finishing WU's. Gnomie, your help as well as the others has always been appreciated. ;) Since I see the progress we have been making and there has been 8 active processors within a week for some time now I am curious as to who is currently helping. I know I have had 2 running for a little while now and just got both straightened out on their folding.

Mine suddenly started not completing projects and then unable to get new work. I left it go for 117 attempts before finally giving up. Are you running OK now? If so what client and flags.

Do you use suspend at all? Do you also use the -service flag?

I did a search, but came up dry. Is the -service flag used only when running it as a service? Or is this something else?

Sorry if I am unnecessarily dense... :p

The -service flag, when used in conjunction with a program like FireDaemon (If this is the case) tells the OS not to turn the service off when users are logged off, and it also tells the service to restart when it comes back from suspend/hibernate.

    Thanks,
I knew you were off and on and gave a good boost a few times but wasn't sure. I know a few others who should fold for Angel_Heather too.

As mtgoat checs the threats and sees who recently passed.

Not suspended at all. I left it on went to church came back 2 hrs later and my pc froze. I just set the proc at 200x 10.5 instead of the normal 2.3 its at 2.1 we will see what happens. I know heat isnt a problem cause the cpu is at 107*F

I am using the beta 3.25 console. and thrax what the heck is - service

    Gnome:

Could you have a wanged-out screen saver, causing the corruption? Maybe set screen saver to "none" and just turn off your monitor while you're away. Also, check your bios settings - how is the Power Management stuff set there?

thats exactly what it set at No sceen saver no power settings at all Leave it on full blast and turn the monitor ff manually

...checked your uptime after it chokes to see if it did indeed reboot?

Also, what else is running? Do you have a full (set-it-and-forget-it) version of Diskeeper (or something like that) running in the background? Howsabout a list of all running services - I've been having troubles of my own on one comp. Maybe we can detect a pattern.:fold:
