I really like Goldrush a LOT. I think it's a huge breath of fresh air for the game.

Medic - I'm meh about it. Medic is my second least played class, so I'm not really super excited for the achievements other than the fact that I am an achievement whore. I'll get around to getting them after the hubbub dies down.

I think Goldrush is a TON of fun- it's a really great map and has some interesting perks to it that the other escort maps I've seen don't. (Though escorting a cow is more amusing ) As far as the medic achievements go I am really interested in them, though I want to go for them once the fuss dies down- I don't want to be like all the other medics, goddamnit! Also, it may be a surprise to most of you who met me once I started my pyro phase, but I really do like the medic, and have played it a lot- it's second on my list of most played, with 41 hours after my pyro's 48. Once everyone and their mom stops playing it I want to rock it up again. I don't know now many of the achievements I will actually manage to get since I am rather uncoordinated with a bonesaw and I have a tendency to die a lot, but we shall see.

I can't play my favorite class right now because any team I join already has too many medics.

I'm looking forward to the new weapons and achivements for the class, but the non-conformist in me wont let me play medic until it's unpopular again. :/

I was looking at the new weapon artwork, and I noticed something about all the weapons: The starting loadout for each class all looks like things that were either thrown together from random bits of other things (Like the flame thrower and the medigun), or just grabbed off the shelf at the gun store (like all of the shotguns and pistols). When you compare the artwork, the lvl 1 equipment all looks sort-of half-shod compared to the new stuff, and from the look of the lvl 1 equipment for all of the other classes, they had this 'upgrade' concept in mind from the very beginning.

The new level is nice too, I fee llike I haven't really tried it yet, since I only tried it on 'all medics day' so far, and I don't consider that a trial of what it will be like to play for realz.

I do like the mechanic, however, and I hope that they release more maps that use it. I think that we might see a Payload version of Dustbowl soon, since it already seems to have a design (including tracks) that would lend itself to it.

I actually played Medic alot at first, but since we have CB and he is a pretty kick ass medic I started playing other classes when there are just a few people. If we get full servers and more than one medic is needed (which won't be much of an issue in the near future) I try to medic as much as I can...

We might have to wait for the other classes' "Pack" to come out before that happens .

Hopefully I will get to try this out Friday.

I like goldrush, a lot. I think it was a terrible idea to release the class achievement packs one at a time. now, no matter what server on whatever map you log in on, 90% of the people on each team are medic. makes the game pretty dumb for the time being. Especially for those of us who normally play medic.

I cant stand to play medic. Plus im no good at it. I just play it cause i cant stand not having the achievements, or the upgrades.

Im liking goldrush though i havent played it much.

Goldrush is good fun. I don't think it is completely balanced right now. It's a little unfair to defensive Spies and both offensive and defensive Scouts. I rarely see blue win the whole way.
On Dustbowl 6/10 times blu wins the whole round.
On Goldrush it's really hard to get those final pushes together. I'd say Blu delivers the payload 4/10.

Oh and I have all of the medic achievements and weapons. I didn't cheat for them, but Valve thought I did. They were reseting the stats of players who were using a console command to unlock all the achievements. By some mistake I got branded an exploiter and had my stats reset. When Valve realized that I had not been beating the system they gave me all the achievements!
I was a little stoked. I'll try not to wave my ubersaw in too many of your faces.

Really? I find it easy as a spy. I rack up a lot of points because they never watch their backs.

That sucks about your stats. Good luck getting them back.
