I currently have the 174.74 build BETA driver installed. There are some people that tell me that the BETA drivers are best for running Hellgate: London. Others tell me that I should get the 169.21 WHGL (an older one dated December 19, 2007) driver.

I need some expert advice here. While I'm playing the game it's beautiful, however portals appear boxy. Below is a screenshot.

Anyone have some real answers? I'm tired of being lead different ways and none of which giving me a solution to my problem.

That game is notorious for being F'n weird with graphics. I remember when it had the 16gb memory leak...

EDIT:// It looks like the alpha map isn't being transparent-ized at the right edges on the portal ripple texture....I'd blame that on the game.

I freaking knew it. I'm not at all graphic savvy as one would say, but this all started happening two patches ago, and at the time I had a much older 7800GS in an older system and the portals never looked like that. As for the memory leak, they claim to have fixed that, though there are reports of people still having those problems.

Anyway, my drivers look good right?

Yeah man, you look good. Sorry for the lack of professionalism in my last post. I was tired as hell.
