I need Free CD Burning Software that actually works and that doesn't have a trial period.

    Are you running Windows? XP can burn files to disc itself, so can Vista.

    In case the above doesn't work, there's CDBurnerXP.

    I am running Win XP. How does XP burn files to disc?

    Drag and drop files onto a CD burner, and it'll bring up the CD burning wizard.

    If you want to burn ISOs, you'll still need software.
