Alright. It goes like this. I got a laptop that a guy didn't pay for the work on, and I may be keeping it. Not much. Dell Inspiron 1705. It's crap. Anyway; I started uninstalling crap, and then broke something, so I did a system restore. I got all the stuff I needed, but now msiexec constantly shows up every time something is run. Every time I slipstream drivers into an OS disk, the disk screws up. I'd just put Linux on it; since I don't plan to do alot with it; and it can't do much anyway...But there's a chance he'll make the deadline...I need to keep XP on it. The person that owned it before him broke the dell recovery partition so I can't use that.

Anyway. I'm looking for two solutions.
1: Get that windows installer **** out of my face
2: A sure-fire way to get this sucker up and running on XP.

EDIT:// Goddammed dell. The recovery system had to be started FROM the Os. Solved. Delete plx.
