graphics upgading mystery

I got this new computer...a cheap HP SR5410F. It has no graphics card just an integrated display adapter.

I read that mobo manufacturers are proprietary with card manufacturers...either NVIDIA or ATI. Just because I want an NVIDIA card does not mean I can have one.

The point is I opened up my rig and saw two ports that looked like SLI. I loked up the system specs online and used CPUZ and I don't see SLI listed anywhere.

I was wondering what cards are compatible with this system...I was thinking of getting a couple of GeForce EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT SSCs.

Find a camera and take a pic of the mobo/slots. That would help.

Any card with the proper interface will work in the board, provided it doesn't need a PCI-e power connection, unless the PSU has on in this PC.

Your system specs indicate that you have only one x16 PCIe slot. You do have 2 1x slots and that is probably what you saw. You should have two x16 slots for either SLI or Xfire.
