I am new to Vista and noticed the bar at the top of the screen in
GONE.
I need to go to Tools, Folder Options, File Settings.
How do I get there now?

Press Alt.
If you want to always show the menu it's Tools > Folder Options > "View" tab > check "always show menus" ... then apply to all folders.

Yay! Thanks guys! I think I'll use the Alt button to hide/unhide the bar.
BUT
,
I wanted to get "file types" (where you can change the way files open and which programs you use to edit) (you know that big long list of file extensions?)
It is it gone from Vista?
