StarOffice8 problems

After doing a System Rollback in Vista, I am having trouble getting some programs running again.
StarOffice8 keeps showing an error message.
"The application cannot be started.
The user interface language cannot be determined".
I have uninstalled then reloaded the program twice but the error won't go away.
When I open iGoogle, it lists the language as German however the language in Vista shows English.
Has anyone had experience or solutions with this problem?

Just out of curiousity, is StarOffice a free product? like OpenOffice?

OpenOffice is the offshoot of StarOffice. StarOffice use to be a pay product, but now it's available free.

As for the problem, in control panel what are your regional settings set to?

    Thanks for the reply kryyst.
My region settings were set correctly and most other progs were running without problem.
Firefox, Google Desktop, and StarOffice8 had all stopped working but StarOffice was the only one giving the error message.
    In frustration, I reformatted!!!
Manuleka, StarOffice is included as an option in the Google Pack download. Check it out if you are interested.

I think StarOffice looks a little better, but I prefer OpenOffice. Especially the new OpenOffice 3 (beta is out now).
