Well maybe alot, But what I want is, what is needed to
connect a Panasonic cf-25 to a desk top pc.
The Panasonic cf-25 is running windows 98se and the desk top is
running xp pro.
A reverse cat cable won't work the laptop does not have a plug in
for that.
Maybe we hitting our heads into wall trying this but nothing
venture nothing gain.

That's what I was thinking, But all the info I found was that's
was for the printer. Can you give me a place to see what's
    involved with that.

What you're talking about is a parallel cable. Serial cables are smaller.

What is it exactly that you want to do with the laptop?

I think someone still makes a USB transfer cable. Comes with a CD and all that jazz to make it link pc's. This Is the closest thing to what I had some time ago. If you've got USB, you should be good to go.

connect it to a desk top pc so he can replace windows on it since
the cf-25 does not have a cdrom, and so he can take info from it
cause he is using as a word processor and just putting info on it
with ms office. That's all I know right now.

Without using a CF Net card or a LapLink cable on the LPT port you could yank the HD out of the notebook and hook it up to the PC for data copy / OS preload etc...

I do this everyday at the shop...

    2.5 IDE adapter http://www.addonics.com/products/io/aa25ide35.asp

They also come in any interface you wish.
