Anyone? I've no idea what they are or how to use/install them or which ones to get and where from. Any of the more "computer-literate" chaps on here want to help a technophob out?!

What Browser do you use? Firefox has a script manager called greasemonkey which works pretty well. As far as specific scripts for Travian, I don't know of many. You will have to look for those yourself.

Firefox mainly. Use IE and Opera for the accounts I'm sitting on and Firefox for me.

Downloaded Greasemonkey... but I've no idea what scripts even are- just read that some people use them!

Again... be careful with scripts. the global term scripts are against the rules. Those that use scripts run the risk of getting banned. I know of no one that was banned for it though... and MANY, MANY, MANY people use them.

Its hard to track the use of scripts, butttt.. some of the scripts like 'smart queue' or task queue or whatever, uses cookies to store the queue of things.
And i heard of a few people got banned because the the travian people can track those cookies because the script makes them on the travian.co.uk... So the trav admin can see them if they write a scripty.
