Watch the attack logs

edited May 2008 in Gaming
If there is one thing I learned last time around, it's that watching the attack logs are critical to seeing what the best strategies are. It is the only real way to see what works in real time.

For instance, I just saw in the attack log that Muffin actually attacked someone while they were sending an attack to him. Because of that he lost 0 troops, and made almost triple what the other guy made off him. Beautiful!

Another example is I just saw someone attack Tbonz with 10 phalanx. What the heck was that person thinking? Tbonz had 10 phalanx himself and only lost 2 to his enemy's 8. So now we know 2 things.

A ) That person probably only has 2 phalanx defending himself now.

B ) He attacked a gaul player with phalanx... He is newb enough to be farmed aaaaaall day. Enjoy. ROFL.

I have come a long way since being the little farm in the last game. And hopefully we all can make this alliance #1.

11th place offensively. Probably 8th or 7th when this attack I sent goes through.

I'd have a larger army if I ws more active, as the area is ripe with farms, however real life comes first ;)

All the farms around me are drying up.
I've wiped out the intermediate competition and made friends with the bigguns from ONE.

So im pretty safe at the moment.
Yesterday i was attacked 8 times.
Now they all have no troops to attack me with :D

You should see the result of the next attack on the attack against me.
I calculated that if I send my macemen there at 18:42:16 then they'll arrive 1 second after his legionairres (I calculated that those were what they were as well, they're also the only possible troop by his pop :p)

So I'll get my iron and wheat back, and kill them all :D

Handofgod had attacked Nepture in Part 1 alliance. So retaliation perhaps?

    5 defence against cavalry...
And paladins are awesome defence against infantry, basically the anti-maceman troop

Moral of the story: Be careful of who you attack, if their alliance is nearby THINK first before throwing troops into them, you're not the king of the world.

Paladins have been reached by many players.

I was lucky enough to spot this one 25 minutes early.

Middge, cranny up I'm afraid, you made a 2 silly mistakes, attacking one of their members and keeping all your macemen at home. I try not to keep ANY maces around unless I'm massing them up for a major attack, which is almost never.

Middge, you are being robbed completely blind. I think you are going to have to get a sitter and build up some crannies.
  • edited May 2008
    i could sit.
  • edited May 2008
Yea im just now logging in. Trying to do some damage control. This guy just made a permanent enemy.

I'll sit for you as well Middge, if you go on at US time and myself at UK time, we can cover your resources from the farmers, then we'll take things from there...

You are a sitter now btw Muffin. I dont know if it was you or TheGr81 who just did some raiding and upgraded my cranny. Whoever it was I thank you.

Grow some crannies man! Nothing else!

He beat you in the arms race and none of us can rein or attack at this point. Protect what you have and bide your time until such time as we can take him out.

I am making sure my crannies cover 35% more than what my warehouse can hold. And concentrating on building fields up. It is annoying getting constantly attacked, I average 4 a day but they get sweet F*** all.

    Our time will come...............
