PS3 Time?

Well, I just now remembered that I had a $200 dell gift card stashed in my wallet. So I was thinking. I have been wanting a PS3 (for MGS2 and GTA4), but really couldn't justify the $400 price tag. But this would bring it down to a more reasonable $200.

My question is, if I wait a little bit does anyone know if they will begin to include DS3 controllers instead of the six axis ones that are included now. It perturbs me that the six axis are out of production but still included. I really don't want to spend $50 for the dual shock controller.

I think the DS3 will be in the Metal Gear package, but you're price is gonna go back up to that 400 dollar marker even with that gift card I figure.

Why not. You'll spend alot more on PC components? And the last time I checked, dell didn't sell consoles.

DS3s won't be in PS3 bundles until they run out of stock, unless you get a specific MGS4 bundle. It's quite the deal Sony has going on.

I heard Assassin's Creed is a great game but the AI are retarded and the combat is always the same. It gets old.

I dunno, I liked it a lot; I played it on 360, though, I heard it had some glitches in the PS3 version.

Walmart is giving away $100 gift cards with any BR player, including the PS3.

If you're looking for online gaming or tracking your progress, 360 is awesome.

PS3 is a great media center, only reason I have it is to play blu ray since its cheaper than most standard blu ray players.

Just got it today. Had to buy a $30 hdmi-dvi cable for it though. Wasn't terribly happy about that... Oh well. Nothing like playing at 1080p. I played GTAIV for a couple hours. My only problem is that I have no good place to play. Overall I'm really excited. Just have to get the media client working on it.

Oh god, half way through assassins creed I wanted to bust my PS3 Controller open.

You rinse and repeat the same thing over and over, find tower points, pick pocket, listen to some rambling, collect flags, assassinate a leader. Do this 9 times and you have assassins creed.

The worst overhyped game of all time, I am not even kidding lol. It actually has a decent story (potentially) but it is way to repetitive to be fun.

If you do get this game, which I hope is a rental. Take breaks.

Anyway the PS3 is a great system the second you turn it on, great layout, great selection of games out now. You won't be disappointed

Samsung 245BW. 24" 1920x1200 @ 60hz. Not spectacular. The signal gets stretched to fit the screen, and at first I was a little miffed just because there wasn't an option to allow letter boxes. But I really couldn't see any distortion so I went hunting online and I found a comparison among the two options. And truthfully the only distortion you'll find is the distortion you look for. For instance circles are slightly stretched, but it is hardly noticeable and I think it is worth it in order to esape the 60px tall letter boxes on top and bottom.

On a side not I am looking for a really good local multi-player (2 player or more) game. And also, aside from MGS4, what game is either coming out soon or available now that will be worth buying. (can be multiplayer or not, just want a good game for my money.)

Uncharted Drakes Fortune is a fantastic game, good gamplay, good story, and the best visuals. Not sure if you have it yet

I also have folklore I have played only 2 hours in, its pretty cool.

I only have GTA4, and while the graphics aren't great I'm liking it so far. Some stuff is pretty tough though.

Yeah I just download demos, I have about 20 demos and it will give you a feel for the game you may want to buy. But I wouldn't even touch assassins creed.

Drake's is fine and all, but I found it to have no replay value whatsoever, and I personally REALLY hate forced button-press sequences.

i like the drake demo a lot, i will prolly buy it, and the bad company demo is awesome.

On the note of Assassins Creed, I loved it and im glad i bought it for 360 because i can go back and unlock the achievements. the may story is amazing, too, i couldent stop playing it.
