My ANtec ALK1600 has THREE HDD LED wires to the front panel. How do I know which one to use to connect to my Epox 8KHA+ mobo? Is scandisk a good way to make hits on the hard drive till I see which one lights up the LED?
The only use I can see for the others labelled "I" and "II" are for RAID/IDE controller cards that have ports on them to allow a seperate drive light to be operated.
SimGuy had this to say Use the one labelled "HDD LED" or "HDD"

Cool. My lanboy has the same thing and I just never bothered to ask.
Now I know, thanks!

I plan to connect them to my CDROM drives, so I know what they're doing with the door shut.

Before I had stuck a Promise controller into my system, I modded both the I and II lights to my NIC lights to show activity.
Kinda neat to see those lights flying on and off showing NIC activity on the front of my case...
