    newbie here lol, how do you tell? Is it the animal infested oases that have a laaaarge amount of wheat fields in them?

    No, an oasis is different. You conquer an oasis with your hero and it will add a %age bonus to your village for that resource.

    A "9 cropper" or "15 cropper" is a village that contains 9 or 15 wheat fields as opposed to the usual 6 but at the expense of other resources. The idea being that a large wheat producing village can support many thousands of troops.

    15's are hard to get upto speed and require 2 to 3 supply villages.
    9's are a bit easier.

    Ah ok ;) How do you know if a square is a 9c or 15c though, short of clicking on every single one :p

    In theory, yes! I started off: opening up a 7x7; right click a field then type "T" to open it in a tab; do that for every field till you have 49 tabs; Close them with "Ctrl + W" keeping your eyes peeled for a cropper!

    In practice, there are helpful little pages to find them for you here and here!

    I'm gonna wait and see how things play out. When I'm ready to expand I'll start looking for a cropper, just to save myself the disappointment of watching another alliance take the one I was hoping for.

    The 9-croppers in your area are at -17|24 and -16|25, which one are you talking about? I might be interested in the other if that's ok with you. There are quite a few wheat oases in the area.

    EDIT: I have my eyes on -20|33 for now... But I'll probably have to move further out later on...hmm...

    That's 14 squares away from the -160|180... I think that's too far.

    that was just to scout croppers, the tool's minimum search radius is 15...

    We'd like to see folks within a few square of ground zero. -160|186 is a nice 9-cropper with one 50% wheat and three 25% oasis. THAT one would be sweet.

    It'll also need someone who's got experience with croppers... Since it'll be more important.

    I dunno tom, it might be smarter if you were closer. Even if it is so you can better help the alliance. Even if you never got attacked, you wouldnt be able to help us if we got attacked. :-(
