Core Problem

I probably should have started this here in the first place.

I have a laptop that is having a problem with core 82. I've tried both download versions, including the text-only console. They can't seem to extract the core.

I've tried deleting and re-installing. No go.

Any thoughts?

    client version and system spec would help, also a post of the first few lines of the fahlog would help us figure it out.
