Hot Or Not?

i kinda got addicted to online play in COD4.. didnt notice that i almost played for hours.. after playing, i noticed that GPU temp went to 55C after playing. Idle Temp is 50c. is this HOT or still k ok? ahm still using stock cooler in the GPU. Thanks!

    My brother is hooked on that one. I did COD for awhile,
    I like being a sniper. But that back a while ago :)

    Wow thanks. Zuntar what temp do you think that this GS would be crazy hot?
    Yeah Sniper... The breath thing really kicks in online gameplay :D

    When you start seeing temps get close to the 90-100 C range on your vid card, that is getting pretty hot. GPU's seem to be more heat tolerant than processors, but cooler is always better.

    well, here's a reference

    right now, AMD's Radeon 4850 (it's mainstream card) has a idle GPU core temp of 70~80C. That's with the stock cooling paste. Changing it will reduce it by around 10C to 20C, making the GPU 50~60C idle.

    Now back to your GPU, it's cooled :D
