Lords and Ladies...

I'd like to thank you all for doing a wonderful job so far. We have slowly moved up and we are now in the top 35 alliances. We've shown that Icrontic is a fighting alliance. We stung several big hitters and they have all decided to avoid coming back We just need to keep the cooperation and coordination going strong. The troop tool is a mandatory condition of membership. Please contact TBonZ, one of his generals if you need any assistance with the tool.

The real reason behind this message... We've been a wing of ARRSE for over 2 weeks now. It has been a learning experience for both ends. Some of the changes have been more logistical in nature and many of the changes stem from the difference between civilians and military methodology. We run this alliance by consensus among the membership and working together to figure out the best course of action. This tends to make us cautious and slow to respond. This has allowed us to stun opponents when we bloody their noses.

We've been working with ARRSE HQ to establish the proper channels in which communication needs to flow. We've also been "training" them on how we work and what we require to allow us to help them. They, in turn have asked for some compromises on how we manage our operations. One of the major concessions, we need to run all recruits by ARRSE HQ before we can invite them. While our policy on recruitment was, in many cases more stringent, they insisted that we send recruits to them to be checked over. They DID take some of our policies (sitting for recruits) to make their decisions easier.

We have begun to assist them in operations (ops) and we have stopped accepting recruits with the exception of a few friends. This brings me to the next point. While LOL xD (Muffin) began as King and he allowed TBonZ and I to take 1/3 of his power to better balance the responsibilities and duties, his duties have be reduced with the ARRSE recruitment requests. At this time, TBonZ and I feel that he is too vital to the alliance to allow him to out of the leadership pool. That being said, we have re-organized the the leadership to allow for more members to have official titles and powers and also find a spot that fits Muffin's abilities.

As of yesterday, here are the new positions, the persons filling those spots, and the job responsibilities of those positions.

  • Prime Minister - qch2002 - Co-Lead the alliance and handle all non-military relations outside the alliance. No official communications other than military, should be done without going through me. This is really an extension of my duties as Diplomat but also adds in the leadership concept. I am a forum administrator on ARRSE's forums to assist with communication between the leadership of ARRSE and IC.
  • Warlord - TBonZ - Co-Lead the alliance and handle/ oversee all military operations. The Warlord must communicate with ARRSE military leaders and ARRSE members as necessary to properly coordinate military ops. His duties encompass the Troop Tool, Troop levels, troop movements, reinforcements, timing operations, who and when to reinforce, and who to attack. This task is VERY extensive the further along the server progresses as operations increase.

Those are the two leaders of the alliance but we rely on several others to keep us on track. This council of elders has been mostly unofficial until recently. The Generals have been in place for a month but never really declared. They now fall into the council of elders.

  • Defensive General - Lambodom - Assist Warlord in defending the alliance and coordinating the defense of our allies. This may include wheat, troop movement, troop tool management... Also backs up the Offensive General in coordination of operations. This job will become more and more utilized as the server progresses.
  • Offensive General - SillyViking - Assist Warlord in Attacking for the alliance and coordinating the offensive operations with our allies. This may include wheat, troop movement, troop tool management... Also backs up the Defensive General in coordination of operations. This job will become more and more utilized as the server progresses.
  • Alliance Mum - Duchess - This is the miscellaneous job position. The Alliance mum will coordinate member expansion, village management, sitters, and also smooth any internal member strife that may occur. Oh and the best job function... "Any job deemed necessary".
  • ARRSE Liaison - Saracen - This position is more of a friendly communicator. This job is to relay important but not critical information about the alliance to ARRSE. This is more of a "Hi, so what's up today? We're doing fine but had a small raid last night, here's the log." kind of thing. It's a bit diplomat and part information operations.
  • Membership Control (aka muscle/ Sargent at arms) - Lol xD (muffin) - If we have a policy that needs to be maintained, this guy makes sure it's being done. If we ask for something and it's not done, this person will hound those that fail to provide the necessary info or response. At first, Troop Tool usage will be monitored and messages to those that fail to register/ update the tool. The Membership Control also makes sure folks have forum accounts and uses them. If a player goes yellow or red, he's all over them.
