Intel's senior vice president and co-general manager of its Digital Enterprise Group, Pat Gelsinger, made public the company's future plans and goals. Where are they headed, in summary?

Intel is pushing to a 10nm process for chips. They're at 45nm currently and pushing to hit 32nm soon.

Tens of cores! Intel wants to move toward double-digit core processors. They're going to have a six-core chip out this year.

Pushing x86 architecture into hand-helds and mobile devices, with compatibility as a selling point. They'd like to take on ARM.

And finally, (and this is way more nebulous) Intel wants to be in your life 24/7/365. It comes off as creepy.

Hexus has the story for more information, but by the looks of things, we're in for an interesting next few years.
