So I bought a netgear wireless router off woot, thinking hell this is a good deal because my verizon wireless router/modem is getting old. I get it realize its not a modem. The problem i am having is in part of my house i'm not getting a strong signal at all. I was wondering if i could make the netgear an access point inbetween the two parts of the house boosting my signal. Possible???

if both your wireless routers support WDS then yes, it's possible. Otherwise you can't.

If you go into the wireless settings for the devices look to see if they have settings for WDS, if they do it supports it, if not it doesn't.

WDS isn't a security feature it's a seperate type of protocol they have to support.
