Computer problems

Hey I have a toshiba labtop and the screen started fading away are disappearing. It will start to freeze up then if i bump the computer the screen will come back does anyone know what is causing this?

    It sounds like it could be a connection issue, how old is the laptop?

    I have seen this happen to a few toshiba laptops in the past tbh.. screens normally on its way out :)

    My sister has the same problem with hers. Turns out it's the backlight that went. Lucky she bought the extended warrenty.

    Do you have a battery indicator on the desktop/system tray? Plug in the laptop and check to see if it is coming on at all. What I'm thinking here is a possible crappy power connection.

    You might also try turning off any power-saving features and see if the behavior changes.
