Toshiba Satellite M100 Fingerprinting Error

Getting this error when booting up my latop...

"Fingerprinting Software Error"

this is weird because normally i would get the option of either type in the User Name and Password or Swiping Finger... now i only get the swipe option, no type in option

this Satellite is running Windows XP Home Edition... this means i can't even log in to check what the problem is...

i even tried running safe mode but still comes up with the swipe only issue... (no login menu/window at all)

anyone help please

    Might want to try a repair install of XP if you have an XP disc. Otherwise it might be time to back up all your files and reinstall.

    well i can't backup since i can't getinto windows... what other options do i have? i do have a windows cd which i might give it ago tonight...

    A repair install will install windows without overwriting all of your files.

    i can with safemode command prompt only... but i'm no good with CMD... can anyone give me a quick guide on how to find this software on command prompt and somehow fix this issue or just uninstall it...

    i did try running repair with Windows CD but also i get C:\WINDOWS\ command prompt... i'm unfamiliar with the command environment
