Happy 40th birthday Intel! The world's largest semiconductor company was founded today in Santa Clara, California in 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore under the name Integrated Electronics Corp.
Intel started in the memory business, and ten years later, they gave us the 8086 processor which led to the x86 architecture the majority of us are still using today. We can thank them for the various Pentiums over the years that let to today's Core-series processors.
Here's to the future Intel! Here's to 40 more years!
P.S. Plz send Nehalem kthx.
