Something is trying to change file type associations
Help please: Win patrol requests I allow something to chang my file type associations :
regedit.exe %1 to %1 %*
and
.scr %1 /s to %1 %*
I refuse but know this malicious software has partially succeeded because I cannot install new malware programs...when they try to update I get an error 32 cannot rewrite the registry and it aborts. My HiJack log is clean and I do not have a findable rootkit, trojan or malware. Whatever I do have has slowed BitDefender so it cannot complete a scan over 48hours. All parts of the system work otherwise but slower especially IE. I will attach my recent HiJack This log below and am using win xp pro 2.
