Problems after installing antispyware programs

So hears the story. For years I've had only Norton internet security as my antivirus software, but my computer has gotten progressively slower and slower. A few weeks ago I went looking through some threads on how to speed up my computer and I came across a thread which said avast antivirus was less of a drag on computer speed. I installed avast to see if I wanted to switch my antivirus software. during the of the avast scans I came across trojan viruses and other malware that the norton av never picked up. i quarentined them and then decided to install some spyware programs recommended by another thread i read. they were : spybot,spyblaster, winpatrol, and ccleaner. Somewhere along the way i started having some problems with all of these installed. My norton antivirus now brings up a prompt everytime i start my computer saying autoprotect has encountered an error. The avast antivirus doesnt start on startup, i have to manually start it when before it started on its own. I am getting repeated messages from winpatrol about a program added to startup: spybotdeletingA8141 and other spybotdeleting***** programs. I just disabled the teatimer and the spybotdeleting prompts from winpatrol messages have stopped. I think i only put a bandaid on a major problem though. So here is my HijackThis log. AntiVirus
You appear to have Symantec and avast
First you should know that you're actually doing more harm than good by running more than one Anti Virus program.
When you do this the programs compete for resources, and the end result is none does it's best and can cause system instability.
I recommend that you choose one that you want to keep.
The other/s I would either uninstall, or disable from startup and use as "on demand" for an occasional scan.

Please could you give me a list of the programs that are installed.

• Start HijackThis
• Click on the Misc Tools button
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will see a list with the programs installed in your computer.
Click on save list button and specify where you would like to save this file.
When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad into your next post.

Thank you for replying! When I originally posted this I had waited for a day but didnt get a reply so went a ahead and uninstalled the norton software and the spybot software since they seemed to be causing the problems. I just went to see if anyone ever did reply back to me and here you are! Since then I havent had any "noticable" problems but I would like to make sure everything is running smoothly. Update Adobe Acrobat Reader

There is a newer version of Adobe Acrobat Reader available.

• Please go to this link Adobe Acrobat Reader Download Link
• Click Download
• On the right Untick Adobe Phototshop Album Starter Edition if you do not wish to include this in the installation.
• Click the Continue button
• Click Run, and click Run again
• Next click the Install Now button and follow the on screen prompts

When the installation is complete go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall all previous versions.

• Adobe Reader 7.1.0
