I just bought a thinkpad t22 for 10 bucks the thing works great im on it right now. But something annoys me a former owner put 2 yes 2 bios passwords. I have them both but I cant figure out how to remove them. during post its shows the thinkpad logo and said press F1 to enter bios. well I hit that and it asks for the passwords and I enter them. well after that it goes to the bios and it says that the bios has been locked. and the only option is to restart the computer. does anyone know how to get to the bios? I just want to remove these stupid passwords.

It sounds like one of the passwords you are entering is wrong. I found some information on the passwords on the lenovo site here.

There is also something about password recovery on thinkwiki. One of my favorite ressources for thinkpad knowledge.

Maybe some of this gets you a bit further with your problem.

well the 2 passwords I am entering one is the supervisor password and the other is the harddrive password. When I enter them I get a big OK and if I type them wrong I get a X
