Hay, well i recently was browsing and found a new app zonealarm is offering as a beta that i thought i would try which is called "ForceField" and it pretty much browser securing... Now it blocked the chatzilla add-on and i was wondering of a 'freeware' one for windows that is pretty good. I tried google but all i found was 2 list for OS x and and Linux.

Software firewalls are a waste of resources and a PITA. I am assuming that since I you have started 3 firewall related threads this month you are interested in the added security. Take an old rig you don't need anymore or buy an old Pentium II/III rig. Dedicate it to run Smoothwall or IPCop.

    Done.

No firewall does not allow you to alter what it does and does not block. Look around more.
