Where is your sub?

An idea from my current problem thread makes me think about where other people have theirs....

So basically, describe where your PC systems (ONLY PC SYSTEMS) sub (woofer) is, and if you want (as is always better) you can include a picture too (A photo, not something you drew in paint :) )

I've got mine securely under the desk about in the middle - it's a big desk with a lot of open space, so there's no "enclosure" effect produced by placing the sub there, sounds the same in that location as in open air. Then again, I keep my sub volume relatively low.

Under my desk which is wide open. The only hard surface it contacts is the floor, and there is no excess resonance.

Well I have my computer hooked up to my receiver.. hooked up to my Bose sub. It's only used for the computer as I don't have a TV and the CD player won't read 99% of CDs.... Does that count?

Or do you mean only systems without speaker wire (so-to-speek)?

Bottom shelf (1inch off floor) of my metal desk (half-assed one too). :( Bass sounds fine, although I don't know if it could sound better.

On the floor with the driver facing my right desk upright and the port facing the room.
I have the bass turned down and it sounds fine plus with the boost I get it still has tons of bass and doesn't tax the amplifier too hard.

My Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 sub sits underneath my desk, 1" away from the cabinet on the left and 2-3" away from the rear backer-panel on the desk.

It sits on a high-pile commercial-grade carpetting so I get absolutely no excess resonance from its location.

I can tell the bass comes from under the desk, but can't tell what direction it is coming from.

Note: It's the black box underneath the desk, left hand side on the right side of the cabinet.

To the left of my desk, much like yours is. I hate it there, but its the only place I have. Nothing really lends itself to surround down here.
