Well, since KazaaLite seems to be dying, I decided to install eMule. It's... a little more complicated than Kazaa.

I keep getting a problem saying that I have a low ID. The faqs say I should have my port 4662 open.

I'm behind Norton Internet Security, but I permitted eMule full access when it first tried to access the Internet.

Can anyone offer any help how I can get going downloading through eMule???

(I'm after Aeon Flux vids if anyone can help  )

~Cyrix

I left Kazaa a while ago, still took me a long time to realize it sucked...

Try changing the port to something else, and disable UDP.

I have my port set to 6667, the same port mIRC uses. That fixed my occasional LowID problem.

    Cyrix,
Ever try Shareaza? It can connect to the Gnutella1, Gnutella2, and Edonkey Networks simultaneously as well as do BitTorrents (I personnally prefer the BT experimental client).

Also, I'm assuming you've also been to Share Reactor as well. If not, here it is:

And lastly, here's a thread from the Shareaza forums that might help you decide on whether or not it's right for you:
