T-Mo wants open apps for all phones
It's rare that a mobile carrier is anything close to progressive. Typically their contracts and features are a complex system of walled gardens and small print, but there seem to be some cracks in the T-Mo façade. They recently spoke of their desire to allow any app on their network, not just for their expensive phones, but any phone running Android, WinMo, Sidekick, or Java. Trust us when we say that will be a lot of phones.
[RUMOR] Nehalem to be called Core i7
Chinese IT website Expreview claims that the Nehalem, the upcoming new generation of architecture from Intel, will be titled the "Core i7." They have some pictures to "prove" it.
What to expect when Physx comes to NVIDIA
Earlier in the year, famed but beleaguered PPU company PhysX was snapped up by NVIDIA to stay competitive after HAVOK was bought out. Shortly thereafter, NVIDIA promised that it would harness the power of their CUDA platform on GeForce 8000, 9000 and 200-series GPUs to deliver physics processing for free to owners of those cards. The time for its release is almost here, and Guru3D has penned a great piece on what to expect when it arrives.
Gaping hole identified in Vista's security
Imagine a security flaw that doesn't exploit a patchable aspect of your operating system, but one that attacks its fundamental design. Hackers at the annual Black Hat Conference have managed to do just that, by exploiting the security features themselves, which are integral to the function of Windows Vista.

Using infected websites, the security researchers presenting were able to load virtually anything they so desired onto the target machine. Apparently this is such a drastically new approach to attack vectors that it could eventually be expanded to attack other operating systems. Boffins are generally in agreement that there may not be much Microsoft can do about this one.

They're not URLs. It's a bad translation from the front page to the forum.
