Noisy graphics card fan

My PC has been noisy since my original build around a year ago. So today I opened it up to find out what was causing it (expected it to be the normal fan or processor), turns out it's the small fan on the graphics card that is causing all the noise!

What are normal remedies for this?

Will software like this help significantly - http://www.electraforge.com/brooke/misc/riva_tuner/riva_tuner.html

Or is it possible and a good idea to get a replacement fan for it?

Thanks,

MathsPar

    It's a Radeon x1950 Pro.

Yeah, if it's starting to run loud, make sure it's clean first. If cleaning it out doesn't stop the noise, replace it before it fails.

After a quick look this one takes my fancy,

I'll see if I can find any cheaper quieter ones.

The fan has been loud ever since I got the GPU so I think it's just the way it is so shouldn't break down for a while. Damn annoying noise though! lol So definitely worth replacing.

Well, cheaper and quieter vs effective...The 1950 generates some heat...
