I would suggest converting the video to flash and then playing it that way. You can then attach the flash in pretty much the same way as you would link to a picture. Oh and to convert the video to flash there are plenty of free programs to do it. Just google Free Video to Flash converter.

Frequently, half the problem is knowing what to search for :) Put the video in the same place as the web page, and then add the HTML to embed it on the page.

First, know that a web page isn't like a Word document. "Adding" the video doesn't actually put it IN the web page. It puts CODE in the web page that tells your browser where to play the video from. That's why the video should be in the same place as the web page. When you put the web page somewhere else, the video must come along.

Second, Publisher is a poor choice for making web pages in general. Consider investing in Dreamweaver if you plan to continue making web pages. It's worlds better than any Microsoft offering.

i haven't used publisher before... but i'm assuming it's a WYSIWYG type of Design tool...

when adding the video clip, if you migrate your stuff onto a USB drive or Portable Media, ensure the clip is also taken with your work... say if your pages are on "assignment" folder... you at least need to put the video file in the assignment folder as well or under a new folder within the assignment folder (example - video)

so your site will be like this...

your website stuff all on assignment folder, and within assignment folder you have a folder called video which contains the video file...

on publisher you change the link to the video file to assignment/video/video_file

    hope that helps ;)
