latest firefox update

okay i started a thread about this yeterday. ever since downloading the latest firefox update, everything i DL like disappears. and i can't open it from my download menu. so i just DL'd google chrome and because nothing opens from my download menu, i can't even install it.

also, my downloads are set to go to my desktop. none of the stuff i have DL'd appears there.

so basically how do i find/open the things i've downloaded?

    have you tried doing a search for those files?

    yes. it's like they don't exist.

    okay now i just downloaded chrome through internet explorer and was able to click RUN, didn't work. just loads and then nothing happens. tried it again clicking SAVE, saved it in 2 diff locations, neither showed up.

    help plz anyone??

    Are you using a download pluggin for firefox like DownThemALL for example? Could be that your pluggin is messed up.
