midi editing

I don't know anything about music, but I'd like to shorten some midi files so I can use them as ringtones for my phone (Sony-Ericsson T610). What programs would make it easy?

I just tried TablEdit, but it did something weird to the song when I imported it, and it doesn't sound the same anymore. :(

    CakeWalk will allow you to edit the files, but I have no idea how to get them on the phone.

    He is just asking about editing. You just copy them over by Bluetooth when you have them.
