error 1606

I have been trying to install Corel Draw and I keep getting the error message

Error 1606.Could not access network location .... after that there is a square box.

Can anyone help me please?

    I found this possible solution after searching around a half a dozen locations, and finally talked to our printer/graphics guy.... He had the same issue... This worked for him.

    Follow the link below and to Hot Patch Number 1.

    Download the patch, run it, then reboot the PC and try to install corel again.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that but it still did not work.

    Any other things that I can try.

    I restored my system to a time before I tried to reinstall CorelDraw... and it worked.

    I would still like to find out what happened to my registry that wouldn't allow me to install programs.
