Now that warhammer is live, i was wonder how many of yall are playing it now. I know Joe and CB were trying it, but i dunno if they stuck with it.

Right now, I'm playing on Volkmar (with my buddy who happens to be the third person on the server to break level 30, and first of his class =D), but the qeue on that server is horrorifing. Anyone else playing destruction on a different server, or playing at all?

Currently playing Destruction (Delf - Disciple) on White Tower with MiracleManS. It's stayed pretty low pop so far, therefore I've never seen a queue on the server. You're welcome to hop on over but our gameplay has been pretty casual thus far and I don't see it picking up too much in the near future.

Didn't care too much for it during Beta trial so I didn't buy the full version.

Yeah. I was not impressed. I played for about an hour, and it hadden't really shown me anything cool by then, so I decided to give it a miss.

I could easily see how beta implementations left something to be desired as I feel the game isn't really polished yet. It definitely has a lot of similar mechanics to the old MMO titan WoW, but has really taken a strong approach to balanced PvP.

I'm willing to deal with the flaws while it matures since I've found it to be a reasonably minimal requirement in time investment so far.

I was never too fond of PvP either, but I'm thinking that was due to WoW's craptacular notion of PvP. WAR has been pleasantly surprising and dynamic with its PvP so far.

Prag has pretty much nailed it. Couple it with the fact that there are some pretty stellar Public Quests and the generally casual atmosphere and you've got the majority of what WAR really is about.

I wasn't a huge fan of WoW PvP at all (despite playing far too much arena), but WAR's addition of collision detection has really added a necessary element to it for me (and really substitutes well for the large Raid/PvE scenarios). Of course, the downside is finding a group that is competent but thats another story.

I'd say if you REALLY enjoyed just the questing aspect of WoW then by all means, this isn't the game for you. That said, it has some nice twists on quests and PvE content (including the mentioned PQs which I absolutely love doing with Prag and another friend). The class development is pretty well balanced, the inclusion of tanks as damage classes and as front line assault is great. I must say I'm extremely pleased with the cost to return ratio (that being the money spent and time spent playing vs. how I feel I'm being rewarded).

Different strokes for different folks though.
