Windows XP SP2 Beta Released

Windows XP SP2 Beta (Build 2055) has been released to beta testers today after much anticipation. This is the first beta version of the service pack to have been released by Microsoft.

Great... Now I have to trash my XP image until SP2 is released. Oh well. My Boss doesn't care... Any idea how long they plan on beta testing it for?

no telling the SP2 final is due out first 1/2 next year so could be in 3 weeks or 6mos.

As things look now, I imagine April will be the most likely month for SP2's release. But taking into account 'Longhorn' gets further and further away with every passing day, I wouldn't be suprised if we don't see service pack 2 till well into the summer. But like I said, my money's on April.
