Not unless you have a very long coax run or you've split a single drop too many times.

Nah, under 200 feet, not that many drops.
The main cable line in the new house is in the garage.
Plan to set up a mini-MDF for Cable, Cat6, whole house speaker system, etc. Thought a signal booster might help, but I'll be under 200 feet even to the farthest bedroom...

plug the cable right into the TV, if the picture doesn't change, this won't help.
