Hello.

I had some problem with VGA drivers in my Windows XP SP3 and had to format (got a blue screen about 10 seconds after turning on the computer :eek3:).

I used the safe graphics mode to log in and use the Windows files and configurations transfer tool. It started gathering everything and compressing it in one of the 3 HD I have in my computer. When it was finished (took like 2 hours) I had about 40 files in .dat format that weight 2.99GB each one in the same folder.

Then I formated the HD that has windows installed. Installed it again, installed drivers and few programs and when I decided to recover everything from the old installation like I've done before I couldn't.

I go to the transfer of settings and files tool and choose to recover them from a disc. I type the path to where everything is stored and It says that there isn't anything to recover from there. I don't mind loosing the settings but I have important files there that I want to recover. If Can't use the tool I want to know if there is any way to decompress them from the .dat files where they are now.

SYSTEM:
OS:
Windows XP pro 2002 version SP2 (haven't updated it yet)
HARDWARE:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.41Ghz
2 GB RAM
Hard disk C:\ 120GB Has Windows and drivers installed
D:\ 320GB Storage disk has the folder with the .dat files
E:\ 80GB Half partition where there is nothing, the other half has Ubuntu 8.04 installed

Thank you in advance
