Big firms adopting code of conduct

In response to outstanding criticism to alleged violations of human rights, three of the biggest internet giants are set to adopt a voluntary code of conduct.     I've been hearing a lot about increased corporate awareness/concern over civil rights a lot in the news lately.

    Sure the plan's vague now, but it's a step in the right direction.

    Did you know Walmart is starting to implement new guidelines in ensuring civil rights and better treatment for the Chinese workers that produce Walmart merchandise? Basically, Walmart says unless the Chinese companies meet the civil rights guidlines, Walmart will not buy their merchandise? I'll try to find the article and post it.

    (they also are working harder to make sure that no products are contaminated with, say, lead, but that's to be expected...)
