Sun, Office Depot Ink Server, Storage Contract
Sun Microsystems beat out competitors to land a multiyear agreement to supply storage systems and software to office products reseller Office Depot, Sun announced Monday.
[blockquote]The project includes Solaris-based Sun Fire 15K servers, several V480 and Sun Fire 280R servers, and several Sun high-end StorEdge SE9900 products. Additional project components include the Sun Back-up Tape Solution consisting of Sun Fire volume enterprise servers.
In a statement, Sun said the agreement would assist the retailer to "reduce costs and complexities as it standardizes its business systems on Sun systems, software and solutions."
