    Yeah, I can verify that oem crapware slowed the Vista install on my laptop down. It came preloaded with McAfee internet security, which should really be named McCrappy internet Suckurity. After finally uninstalling it and installing Avast! as my antivirus software, there was a noticeable speedup in the way Vista ran and I have been able to use Vista without many problems since then.
