Hi Guys
If any of you have read This You will know my array died. So I have been messing around with the two drives that are still working. I have one drive with a clean install of XP Pro with SP1 and all the radeon and Creative drivers. I have saved this as a ghost image on a DVD. I have been reading the tweaks and tricks threads and was playing with Tweakui and have managed to bork to installs. I was thinking that it would be a good idea to move "program files " of the OS partition as well as "My Documents" But using tweak ui is not making it. Are there any other programs that are better for this ? Also when I do get my replacement drive I will have 2 x 120 sata drives and a 80 ide. How would you guys set this up.
Everything on the array and mirror to the 80?
OS on the 80 and everything else on the array?
Where should I put the swap file ?
??????
I have everything backed up on DVDs so I can afford to play with it a bit. Your suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks

Scott

It will be faster with the swap on a small 3 or 4 gig partition as the first partition on the 80Gb drive. I always put "My Documents", "Temp Internet Files" and "Temp Files" on the "D" drive with the complete OS on "C" along with all Primary Apps while Games and all other secondary apps go in a "Programs Files" on the "D" drive and keep a backup of what I care about on the separate drive. I keep nothing of value or anything I care about on the OS partition. That way if I need to re-do the OS I don't have anything to worry about loosing (I manually back-up my system a few times a week, including "My Favorites"). Since you will have 2 x 120 for your array I would recomend a larger drive than the 80 if your needs exceed the capacity of that 80.
